UPDATEYUK - PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) or PT INKA made major changes to the company's management structure through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) held in June 2026.
One of the decisions that attracted attention on the agenda was the appointment of Ujang Komarudin as an Independent Commissioner of PT INKA. The appointment of the academic and national political observer was part of the organizational refreshment steps taken by the state-owned company in the railway manufacturing sector.
The inclusion of Ujang Komarudin in the company's supervisory board adds to the list of figures from academic circles trusted to fill strategic positions in state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

Profile of Ujang Komarudin, Now Independent Commissioner of PT INKA
Ujang Komarudin is widely known as an academic and political observer who actively provides analysis on various national issues.
Born in Subang, West Java, on August 9, 1981, he is a Political Science lecturer at Al Azhar University Indonesia. Besides his career in education, he is also active in various political organizations and study institutions.
Ujang is recorded as the founder and Executive Director of Indonesia Political Review since 2016. He also founded Rumah Milenial Indonesia and serves as President of Milenial Indonesia.
In his career journey, Ujang was once entrusted with the task of being the Presidential Spokesperson.
His appointment as an Independent Commissioner of PT INKA officially took effect from June 2026 based on the company's RUPSLB decision.
PT INKA RUPSLB Replaces President Director and Several Directors
In addition to changes in the board of commissioners, shareholders also reshuffled the board of directors of PT INKA.
In the decision, several former officials were dismissed from their positions, namely President Director Eko Purwanto, Finance, HR, and Risk Management Director Andy Budiman, Development Director Roffiq Lutzfi Azhar, Operations Director I Gede Agus Prayatna, and Quality Management Director Bambang Jatmika.
However, Bambang Jatmika received new trust to occupy the highest position as President Director of PT INKA, replacing Eko Purwanto.
To support the company's performance going forward, the new management is also strengthened by several names filling other strategic positions.
