Anna Mu'awanah is in the running for the Head of DPC PKB Tuban. The former Regent of Bojonegoro has three terms of experience as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and a long track record in PKB.
TUBAN, UPDATEYUK.ID – The name Anna Mu'awanah is increasingly being discussed in the dynamics of leadership changes at the Regional Leadership Council (DPC) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) of Tuban Regency. The former Regent of Bojonegoro is mentioned as one of the figures who has the potential to fill the position of Chairman of DPC PKB Tuban in the upcoming leadership.
Anna's emergence is inseparable from her quite long political track record within PKB. Besides having served as a regional head, she also has experience as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for several periods.
Change of Captain for PKB Tuban Becomes a Concern for Cadres
The process of changing the leadership of DPC PKB Tuban has become a concern for various circles, especially party cadres and sympathizers. The leadership change is considered an important momentum to strengthen internal consolidation and prepare political strategies to face future political agendas.
Several names were previously linked to the position of DPC chairman. However, Anna Mu'awanah's name has become one of the most attention-grabbing due to her complete political experience, both in the legislative and executive branches.
With this experience, Anna is considered to have the capacity to build broader political communication and strengthen PKB's support base in Tuban Regency.
Political Track Record as a Strong Asset
Anna Mu'awanah's political career cannot be separated from PKB. She has been elected three times as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the East Java IX Electoral District, which covers Tuban and Bojonegoro Regencies.
While in Senayan, Anna was heavily involved in discussions on economic, financial, and regional development issues. She was also entrusted with several strategic positions in the council's working bodies.
In the 2018 Bojonegoro Regional Election, Anna successfully won the contest and made history as the first woman to serve as Regent of Bojonegoro. She held this position until 2023 before returning to national legislative affairs.

Getting to Know Anna Mu'awanah
Anna Mu'awanah was born in Tuban, East Java, on February 3, 1968. This PKB politician pursued her education from elementary school in her hometown before continuing her studies to the doctoral level.
She completed her secondary education at MAN Tuban and MAN Rejoso Peterongan, Jombang. Afterward, she earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from Borobudur University Jakarta in 2003, then pursued a Master of Legal Management at Trisakti University and graduated in 2006.
Not stopping there, Anna completed her doctoral program in Environmental Management at Jakarta State University in 2014.
In her political journey, Anna was elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the 2004, 2009, and 2014 elections, representing PKB from the East Java IX Electoral District. During her tenure in parliament, she was known for her active involvement in Commission XI, which oversees the financial and banking sectors. She also served as Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
After completing her term as Regent of Bojonegoro for the 2018–2023 period, Anna was once again entrusted by the public to become a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024–2029 period. Currently, she is back serving in Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which oversees finance, national development planning, and the banking sector.
Her extensive experience in both the legislative and executive branches is the reason why Anna Mu'awanah's name is considered worthy of consideration in the future leadership dynamics of PKB Tuban. (*)
