Ahead of Inauguration, PKB Tuban Changes Leader: Anna Mu’awanah Emerges as DPC Chairman Candidate
Anna Mu'awanah has been appointed as the candidate for DPC PKB Tuban Chairman, replacing Khozanah Hidayati ahead of the new management's inauguration. This change has become a focal point within PKB Tuban.
UPDATEYUK.ID - The political dynamics within the National Awakening Party (PKB) of Tuban Regency are once again in the spotlight. Ahead of the inauguration of the new management, the name of former Bojonegoro Regent, Anna Mu’awanah, surprisingly emerged as a candidate for the Chairman of DPC PKB Tuban for the 2026–2031 period, replacing Khozanah Hidayati.
The change was revealed during the consolidation agenda of DPW PKB East Java with the ranks of DPC and DPAC PKB throughout Tuban Regency. In that forum, the new management structure was said to have undergone a change in the chairman's position.
Khozanah Resigns, Anna Appointed to Lead PKB Tuban
Previously, Khozanah Hidayati was appointed as the Chairman of DPC PKB Tuban for the 2026–2031 period by DPP PKB in mid-June. This appointment had even been announced to party cadres and officials.
However, ahead of the inauguration, a decision change occurred. Khozanah chose to resign from the position of candidate chairman, and then DPP PKB appointed Anna Mu’awanah to fill that position.
In the circulating structure, Anna Mu’awanah is placed as the candidate chairman, while Khozanah Hidayati fills the secretary position. The treasurer position is said to be held by Fahmi Fikroni.
DPP Assessed to Have Strategic Considerations
The Deputy Chairman of DPW PKB East Java, Thoriqul Haq, emphasized that the determination of the management is the authority of DPP PKB. According to him, the decision was made through various considerations and internal political calculations of the party.

Meanwhile, Khozanah considers the decision to be the best step for the party. She is optimistic that PKB Tuban will become even more solid under the new leadership.
"Alhamdulillah. In my opinion, this is the best decision, and in the future, PKB will be more solid in Tuban," said Khozanah.
Potentially Changes Tuban's Political Map
The entry of Anna Mu’awanah into the PKB Tuban structure is considered to attract attention because previously the name of the former Bojonegoro Regent was not included in the race for the Chairman of DPC PKB Tuban. Her presence raises various speculations regarding the direction of PKB's political strategy leading up to the upcoming political contestation.
Nevertheless, until now, there has been no official statement linking this leadership change with a specific political agenda. The party's main focus is said to remain on organizational consolidation and strengthening the structure down to the grassroots level ahead of the inauguration of the new management, which is scheduled to take place in July 2026.
