Kemhan: 32 Pregnant Participants Sent Home With Their Data Still Recorded
Head of Kemhan's BPSDM, Major General TNI Ketut Gede Wetan Pastia, explained that participants found to be pregnant were sent home with consideration for health and humanitarian reasons.
According to him, there were no specific restrictions related to this condition from the beginning, so several participants were only identified during the selection and training process.
“Regarding special treatment for those who are pregnant… with consideration for health developments and humanitarian reasons, 32 people in the first phase were returned with a talent pool,” he said at a press conference at Kemhan, Saturday (27/6/2026).
Can Still Continue the Program in the Next Batch
Although sent home from the ongoing training, Kemhan emphasized that the status of these participants was not completely revoked.
They are still registered as SPPI participants and have the opportunity to continue their education in the next batch after their health condition allows.
“Their status still meets the requirements and they can continue in the next batch. Their rights remain intact,” explained Ketut.
Kemhan stated that this policy was taken so that no participants would be disadvantaged, while also considering the safety and health aspects of pregnant women.

One Participant Gave Birth During the Program
In addition to the cases of pregnant participants, Kemhan also revealed that one participant gave birth during the education period.

Kemhan emphasized that all policies taken in this case were based on the principle of health protection and humanitarian considerations. (*)
