The victim, identified by the initials FB (62), reportedly slipped into a well when the area experienced a power outage.
Fortunately, the victim was successfully evacuated safely thanks to the swift response of a joint team from BPBD Ciamis, Damkar Ciamis, the village government, and residents.
Based on the daily report from Pusdalops PB BPBD Ciamis, the incident took place around 18:30 WIB. The dark environmental conditions due to the power outage are suspected to be the main cause of the accident experienced by the victim.
Chronology of Elderly Person Falling into Well in Ciamis
When the electricity went out, the victim was walking around his house. The lack of lighting made the victim unaware of the presence of the well's edge, which was near the path he was taking.
As a result, the victim lost his footing and immediately fell into the well.
