TUBAN, UPDATEYUK.ID – The success of the Tuban Regency Government (Pemkab) in achieving an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) for the 11th consecutive time has received appreciation from various parties. One of them comes from the Chairman of the Tuban Regency DPRD, Sugiantoro.
According to Sugiantoro, this achievement indicates that the synergy between the executive and legislative branches in Tuban Regency is running well. The collaboration built is considered one of the important factors in maintaining accountable and transparent governance.
"This WTP achievement is the result of joint work from all elements of the regional government," he said in his statement regarding the achievement.

Executive and Legislative Synergy is Key
As the leader of the Tuban Regency DPRD for the 2024–2029 period, Sugiantoro is known for often emphasizing the importance of a harmonious relationship between the legislative institution and the regional government.
According to him, regional development will not run optimally without good communication and coordination between these two institutions. Therefore, the Tuban DPRD is committed to continuing to carry out its oversight, budgeting, and legislative functions in a balanced manner for the benefit of the community.
This view is in line with the DPRD's commitment to supporting various regional development programs, from the infrastructure sector, public services, to improving community welfare.
From the Health Sector to the DPRD Chairman's Seat
Behind his position as Chairman of the Tuban DPRD, Sugiantoro has had a long career journey. Born in Lamongan on June 11, 1975, he pursued health education until he obtained a Bachelor of Public Health (S.K.M.) degree.
Before being fully active in politics, Sugiantoro had a career in the health sector. He served as the Head of the Radiology Unit at Medika Mulia Hospital Tuban for approximately 21 years, from 1998 to 2019.
This long experience in health services is an important foundation for understanding community needs, especially regarding public and health services.
Highest Vote Getter in the 2024 Election
Sugiantoro's political career developed with the Golkar Party. Within the party, he was entrusted with the position of Vice Chairman for Organization at the DPD Golkar Party of Tuban.
In the 2019–2024 period, he served as the First Vice Chairman of the Tuban Regency DPRD. His performance became more prominent after the 2024 Legislative Election.
In that democratic party, Sugiantoro successfully garnered 14,394 votes in Electoral District (Dapil) Tuban 3, which covers Semanding, Grabagan, Rengel, and Soko Sub-districts. This achievement made him the legislative candidate with the most votes in all of Tuban Regency.
The largest vote dominance came from Semanding Sub-district, which contributed more than 12,000 votes. This result also propelled the Golkar Party to become one of the main forces in the Tuban DPRD and paved the way for Sugiantoro to occupy the position of Chairman of the Tuban Regency DPRD for the 2024–2029 period.
With a professional background in health, experience as a council leader, and strong political support from the community, Sugiantoro is now one of the important figures in overseeing regional development and policies in Tuban Regency.
