Fictitious Investment Scheme Based on Trust within the Bank Environment
Based on the investigation, the perpetrator, identified by the initials SLK (42), allegedly offered an investment program called a "bailout fund" to a victim identified by the initials HKS (73). The offer was made when the perpetrator was still working as an outsourcing employee at a bank in Bekasi City.
The perpetrator convinced the victim that the deposited funds would be invested in a scheme with returns of around 10 percent within a few months.
Due to trust in the perpetrator's status at the time, working within the bank environment, the victim then transferred funds in stages, totaling approximately Rp1.02 billion.
However, after the maturity date, the victim never received the promised profits or the return of the principal funds.
Over Rp1 Billion in Funds Allegedly Used for Personal Interests
During the examination process, police revealed that the funds received by the perpetrator did not enter the official banking system. The money was allegedly transferred directly to the perpetrator's personal account.
Preliminary investigation results indicate that the victim's money was then used to cover the perpetrator's personal needs, including paying off several debts.
This case began to be uncovered after the victim reported it to the authorities in 2024, several years after the first transaction was made in 2021.

The police urge the public to be more vigilant against investment offers promising high returns in a short period, especially those without official permits from financial institutions.
