KKP Mandates PT Fuyuan to Submit Daily Reports During Waste Treatment Improvement Process
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has mandated PT Fuyuan Biologi Technology to submit daily reports during the waste treatment improvement process in Situbondo, following alleged pollution of Banyuglugur sea.
UPDATEYUK.ID – The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is not only asking PT Fuyuan Biologi Technology to improve its waste treatment system but also requiring the company to submit daily progress reports during the repair period.
This policy is part of the oversight measures following allegations of marine pollution in the Banyuglugur Sub-district, Situbondo Regency, which previously attracted public attention.
Repair Progress Will Be Monitored Daily
The Director of Supervision of Fisheries Resources of the Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Resources Supervision (PSDKP) of KKP, Sahono Budianto, explained that the company has been given two weeks to perfect its waste treatment system.
However, during this process, PT Fuyuan cannot operate without supervision. KKP requires the company to report every development to both the central and regional governments.
"The progress or daily report will be submitted daily to KKP and also to the Situbondo Environmental Agency," he said during an inspection at the site, Friday (26/6/2026).
According to Sahono, the field inspection results show that there are still several technical aspects that need to be improved so that the quality of water discharged into the environment meets the established standards.
"So that the water coming out at the outlet point, especially into the sea, complies with the required water quality standards," said Sahono.
Repairs Cover Waste Treatment System and Facilities
KKP stated that the improvements required by the company not only involve the waste treatment process but also the supporting facilities and infrastructure used.
"The principle is that the improvements must be determined. Of course, technically there are things, there are chemical treatments, chemical sets that must be done," he said.
In addition, the supporting facilities for the waste treatment plant must also be adjusted so that the treatment results meet environmental regulations.
"The facilities, the infrastructure, right. Well, we have conveyed the details to the company. And the company has committed, supported by the Regent who will also monitor daily, will see the progress," he concluded.

Situbondo Regency Government Also Oversees Commitment Implementation

Situbondo Regent Yusuf Rio Wahyu Prayogo ensured that the local government would participate in monitoring the repair process carried out by PT Fuyuan through the Environmental Agency (DLH).
According to him, the company has expressed its willingness to fulfill all the notes provided by KKP, and the follow-up results will be reported periodically.
"Today we visited PT Fuyuan to accompany friends from the Ministry of KKP. Alhamdulillah, commitments that must be completed were also conveyed. Even PT Fuyuan has agreed to it, the follow-up action will also be conveyed to us through DLH and to KKP," said the Regent.
Mr. Rio emphasized that the local government remains committed to maintaining the balance between investment and environmental protection in Situbondo.
"We continue to maintain the investment climate, especially since I have proclaimed Situbondo as a business plan from the start. But in any context, community reports must also be considered as part of the community's commitment to preserving the environment," he said.
Previously, allegations of marine pollution emerged after a video showing a brownish water flow from PT Fuyuan's discharge pipe into the Banyuglugur waters went viral on social media. This finding was then followed up by KKP through an inspection and evaluation of the company's waste treatment system. (*)
