Pertamina Tanker Truck Seized by Police at Banyuwangi Gas Station, Bio-solar Distribution Temporarily Halted
Police sealed a Pertamina tanker truck at the Genteng Wetan gas station in Banyuwangi, related to alleged irregularities in fuel distribution. Bio-solar sales have been temporarily stopped.
UPDATEYUK - A Pertamina fuel oil (BBM) tanker truck has drawn the attention of residents after being sealed by law enforcement officers (APH) in the area of SPBU 54.684.15 Genteng Wetan, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency.
The sealing was carried out as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities in fuel distribution, which is currently being investigated by the police. In addition to securing the tanker truck, the police also cordoned off the biosolar filling nozzles at the gas station.
As a result of the investigation process, biosolar sales services at the Genteng Wetan gas station have been temporarily suspended, impacting the public who rely on subsidized fuel.
Tanker Truck Secured After Completing Cargo Unloading
Based on the information gathered, the secured vehicle is an fleet belonging to the transporter company PT Puspita Cipta with a tank capacity of approximately 24,000 liters.
Before being secured, the truck had completed the process of distributing subsidized diesel fuel at the Genteng Wetan gas station. The fleet was then scheduled to deliver Pertalite fuel to another gas station in the Genteng area.
However, before leaving the location, officers stopped the vehicle for investigation purposes.
The representative of the Genteng Wetan gas station, Sudarmoko, emphasized that his party was unaware of the issue being handled by the authorities because the distribution process at the gas station had been completed.
"So this tank has finished dropping off diesel at our gas station," said Sudarmoko in his statement, quoted on Thursday (25/6/2026).
He explained that the fleet had only stopped to unload its cargo before continuing its journey to the next distribution location.
"And it was going to continue dropping off Pertalite to the Genteng Kulon gas station, but it was apprehended as it was about to leave our gas station," he said.
Biosolar Sales Also Affected
Sudarmoko stated that the suspension of biosolar nozzle operations was a consequence of the ongoing investigation process.
"This is still an investigation process by the police, so we cannot serve diesel sales," he said.

As a result of the temporary suspension, several consumers had to seek biosolar at other gas stations because the filling services at the location had not yet resumed operations.
This situation was particularly complained about by the public who use subsidized diesel fuel to support their business activities and daily vehicle operations.
Police Still Investigating Alleged Fuel Distribution Irregularities
To date, law enforcement officers are still conducting an investigation to uncover alleged irregularities in fuel distribution related to the transport fleet.
The police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the results of the examination or the parties who will be held accountable in this case.
Several pieces of evidence are still secured at the scene as part of the ongoing investigation process.
